The Joint and Spine Center at St. Luke’s Health–The Vintage Hospital delivers multidisciplinary, coordinated care to support our patients during every step of their journey. We offer a patient-centered care model to provide thorough, advanced treatment for a variety of orthopedic conditions. With joint care coordinators, surgeons, hospitalists, therapists, and more, our team of experts has the tools to keep you in the game.
Patients at The Joint and Spine Center benefit both from the expertise of our physicians and our unique care model. We offer four key differentiators to improve patients’ experiences.
- Joint Camp: This comprehensive program is designed to educate you on what to expect before, during, and after your total joint replacement surgery, which helps reduce anxiety and improve outcomes. You’ll learn specifics about your procedure, including risk factors, how to avoid complications, and tactics for optimizing your recovery period.
- Expert Staff: Our specially-trained healthcare professionals are focused on care specifically for joint replacement patients. Our team is made up not only of orthopedic surgeons, but also joint care coordinators, coaches, anesthesiologists, hospitalists, registered nurses, case managers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
- Dedicated Unit: You’ll be able to recover from your surgery in a unit designed with the needs of joint replacement patients in mind. Our staff specializes in joint replacement, creating a more seamless flow of care. With private rooms, casual clothes, and an emphasis on individualized care, our dedicated unit provides the optimal environment for recovery.
- Coordinated Care: We understand the importance of getting you back to doing what you love. We have worked with our physicians to create a pain management protocol to keep you out of pain and help you get the most out of your physical therapy. Our physical and occupational therapists will get you on your feet the day of surgery and teach you techniques to navigate your home in the days after your surgery. Because of our commitment to coordinated, quality care, most of our patients go home within two days of surgery, and many will leave the next day.
