At the Mesothelioma Treatment Center at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center’s Lung Institute, we understand the value of personalized care and take the time to customize our approach to each patient’s case.

With access to leaders in the field of mesothelioma care and treatment, unparalleled resources and collaborations, and rapid access to care, we offer advanced therapies that are not available anywhere else in the world.

Leaders in Mesothelioma Treatment

The late Dr. David Sugarbaker, a pioneer in advancing the treatment of pleural mesothelioma, founded the Mesothelioma Treatment Center and recruited Dr. R. Taylor Ripley, who now serves as the Director.

Mesothelioma is an uncommon cancer; therefore, many oncologists are unlikely to have significant experience in treating it. Here, our team specializes in mesothelioma treatment and has helped hundreds of patients.

In collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine, our physicians and staff use leading-edge medical techniques, including genetic and genomic approaches, combined with essential support and therapy to treat the whole person. To overcome the challenges of treating mesothelioma, we are actively committed to conducting clinical trials with new treatments, pharmaceuticals, and procedures.

Comprehensive Mesothelioma Care

The Mesothelioma Treatment Center takes a comprehensive approach to the treatment of mesothelioma, including a support program encompassing social work, case management, and spiritual care.

Additionally, our team will assist you in the arrangement of flights, hotel reservations, and all logistical details during your stay. As a destination program, we are here to provide experts for every step of your treatment—from the first appointment to your return home.

Call 713-798-6376 or email [email protected] to request an appointment with our team.
