Sponsorships

Being a good neighbor in the communities that we serve is important to St. Luke's Health-Memorial. In fact, each year St. Luke's Health-Memorial supports the work of nonprofit agencies by giving thousands of dollars in monetary donations. Additionally, the hospital supports nonprofit organizations by donating promotional and specialty items. It is our goal to support organizations that provide a tangible benefit to a broad section of the communities in which the hospital operates.

 Community Giving Guidelines

St. Luke's Health-Memorial will consider donations as long as they are within the following guidelines:

  • The organization must have a 501(C)(3) tax exempt status or other similarly classified entities that provide tangible benefit to the community (e.g. school districts, etc.).

  • Sponsorships for individuals are discouraged. For example, St. Luke's Health-Memorial will consider sponsoring a youth baseball or softball organization, but not individual teams.

  • Examples of organizations that meet guidelines include, but not limited to the United Way, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, Relay for Life, various Chambers of Commerce activities, festivals, nonprofit rodeos, and school sponsored events.

  • The organization’s event provides visibility for St. Luke's Health-Memorial.

It is St. Luke's Health-Memorial's goal to treat all entities equal. Unfortunately, St. Luke's Health-Memorial will not sponsor or make donations to for-profit organizations, individual sporting teams, individual religious organizations or events, or individuals (e.g. beauty pageants, educational/exchange trips, natural or medical calamities), as this is not manageable for the hospital from a system-wide giving perspective. All sponsorship or donation requests must be submitted in writing to the hospital’s marketing department no less than 30 days in advance.
