Approximately five million Americans live with chronic wounds. There are many factors that can prevent wound healing. Left untreated, these wounds can become severely infected, gangrenous, and could lead to amputation.

At St. Luke's Health Brazosport Wound Healing Center, our team of physicians and nurses is specifically trained to treat non-healing wounds. We use the latest therapeutic methods to treat wounds that have failed to respond to conventional therapies and partner with physicians, surgeons and therapists to develop individualized treatment plans for our patients.

The Wound Healing Center specializes in treating chronic wounds and non-responsive conditions. We offer comprehensive wound care services, including:

  • Wound debridement
  • Wound dressings
  • Blood work
  • Vascular testing

There are several types of wounds, including surgical, traumatic and chronic wounds (defined as wounds present for more than 30 day which have failed to respond to conventional treatments). Don't put your life on hold because of non-healing wounds. At the Wound Healing Center, we manage all types of chronic wounds, including:

  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Bone infections
  • Gangrene
  • Post-operative infections
  • Non-healing surgical wounds
  • Vascular ulcers
  • Radiation burns

Much of the success of your wound healing depends on you. We are equipped to address the unique circumstances of patients with non-healing wounds and to treat wounds appropriately.

A referral from your physician is not necessary; however, we do operate by appointment. Treatments are covered by most insurance providers, Medicare and Medicaid. Don't let a non-healing wound get you down. Heal it by visiting the Wound Healing Center at St. Luke's Health Brazosport.
