O'Quinn Medical Tower at the McNair Campus Opening Early 2023
Our team at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is proud to announce the opening of this newest medical tower on the McNair Campus, the O’Quinn Medical Tower at McNair. It adjoins the existing McNair Hospital Tower, which opened in 2019.
Our community is at the heart of everything we do, and that is what is at the heart of the O’Quinn Medical Tower at McNair. We are growing our spaces and abilities for you. To provide more for the people we serve.
O’Quinn Medical Tower at McNair will enhance the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC)—an NCI-designated cancer center and ranked among the nation’s best cancer programs—with radiation oncology, an additional 80-bay infusion room, more than 70 exam rooms, and state-of-the-art imaging and treatment equipment. Our world-class Department of Radiation Oncology will provide leading-edge diagnostic technologies and therapies with new linear accelerators along with SIM CT machines. DLDCCC is also home to groundbreaking cancer research in specialties like breast, colorectal, liver, prostate, and gynecologic cancer.
At the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center, we will be adding a state-of-the-art 3 Tesla MRI, along with advanced imaging technology to detect breast abnormalities.
We will also have new state-of-the-art imaging equipment, such as SPECT/CT, PET/CT, diagnostic x-ray machines, and two 1.5 Tesla MRI machines.
With its relocation from the Fannin Tower, the ambulatory surgery center will have 12 operating rooms and 10 new endoscopy suites.
In addition to the expansion of the O’Quinn Medical Tower at the McNair Campus, we are investing in the existing Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center campus within the heart of the Texas Medical Center, which will include updated public areas and new equipment and investment in IT to accommodate elevated technology. On the McNair Campus, Tower 1 will retain orthopedic services, inpatient rehabilitation, and clinical office space for Baylor College of Medicine physicians.
Beginning Early 2023, certain departments will begin moving to O’Quinn Medical Tower. Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center and other radiation therapy services, along with our Pain Center and imaging services, will be making the move to the new medical tower.
All Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center buildings will be easily accessible, due to the addition of two new access points from Old Spanish Trail to the south, Cambridge Road to the east, and expanded parking. You can access this new parking garage, the Green Garage, by turning onto Robertson Boulevard from Old Spanish Road.
