About Me: Margaret received her Doctorate of Pharmacy at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Margaret’s long term career goals are to become a critical care specialist and serve as a mentor and preceptor to pharmacy students and residents. In her free time, Margaret enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, attending concerts and cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels.

Why Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center: Margaret was interested in BSLMC due to the abundance of complex critical care, transplant, and cardiology clinical experiences involving a diverse patient population. Being an academic medical center located in the world's largest medical campus, there are plenty of unique complex clinical scenarios from which to learn, in addition to precepting opportunities. Margaret is confident the challenging environment and clinical experiences at BSLMC will prepare her for whatever she pursues in the future.

Current Research: Hydrocortisone 100 mg twice daily versus Hydrocortisone 50 mg every 6 hours for septic shock

About Me:Alan received his Doctorate of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin and completed his PGY1 residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He is currently a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident at BSLMC. His short term career goal is to become an ICU/ED rotator and continue to learn after graduation. His long term goal is to become board-certified in critical care and eventually become a specialist in neurocritical care. Outside of pharmacy, Alan enjoys hiking, climbing outdoors, and playing ultimate frisbee.

Why Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center: Alan was interested in BSLMC due to its high acuity patient population and abundance of transplant patients. Located in the Texas Medical Center, BSLMC also receives a wide variety of critically ill and transplant patients from all around the world. Alan is confident the experiences and support he's had at BSLMC pharmacy will prepare him for a successful career in critical care.
