Light up the Lake and Nursing Excellence Awards

Florence Nightingale carried her lamp as she walked among beds checking her patients. She became known as the Lady with the Lamp and today, the lamp is an international symbol for nursing. In her spirit, we gather once a year to honor our nurses and their achievements by illuminating the path around the lake with luminaries. We hope you will be part of this beautiful tradition by purchasing a luminary and joining us on November 12 at our Lakeside Hospital Back Patio.

Luminaries are $1 each with a minimum online purchase of $5 and may be purchased Monday, November 2 through Wednesday, November 11. Cash purchases can be made at the command center. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Nightingale Society, which provides funds for nursing education and excellence at The Woodlands and Springwoods Village Hospitals.

To claim your luminary, bring your e-confirmation to the command center Monday-Friday, 24 hours a day. Should you choose not to collect your luminary prior to the event, it will be placed along the path in your honor. Decorated luminaries should be dropped off at the command center by Wednesday, November 11 at 7 p.m.
