Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center Vice President Named President-Elect of the National Association of Health Services Executives

Richelle Dixon, MHSA, FACHE, Vice President of Ambulatory Care, St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center (Baylor St. Luke’s), has been named President-Elect for the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE). Dixon joined NAHSE in 1996 and has held leadership positions over the past 19 years—most recently National Parliamentarian.

“It’s truly a humbling experience to be selected as President-Elect,” said Dixon. “NAHSE has afforded me the opportunity for continual growth, networking and leadership opportunities. Being President-Elect is the ultimate service I can provide to say thank you for the support I have received over the years.”

As President-Elect, Dixon will support current President, Anthony King, in his efforts to move the organization forward. Dixon will take office as president in 2017, and will serve two years as Immediate Past President beginning in 2019.

“In my role as president, I look forward to developing a strategic plan that will position NAHSE as the thought leader for advancing healthcare services in all communities, especially those that are underserved,” added Dixon.

As Vice President of Ambulatory Care, Dixon is responsible for Texas Heart® Institute Clinic, Heart and Lung Transplant Center, Abdominal Transplant & Liver Disease Clinic, Kidney and Pancreas Clinic, Diagnostic Imaging & Treatment Center, Infusion Services, Radiation Therapy & CyberKnife®, Oncology, Executive Physical Program, and the Diabetes Program.

Before joining Baylor St. Luke’s, Dixon served as Director of Strategy and Operational support for Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) in Englewood, Co. In this role, she led strategic growth initiatives for inpatient and ambulatory services; facilitated redesigning of physician liaison hospital programs through standardization of best practices, software implementation and assessment criteria; worked with multidisciplinary teams focused on delivering the best care at the appropriate level as efficient as possible; and directed and supported CHI’s innovation strategy and development of new business opportunities.
