St. Luke's Health - Lakeside Hospital Named "Best Place to Work" for Fifth Year by Modern Healthcare

Posted in:

The Woodlands, TX (July 25, 2016)St. Luke's Health–Lakeside Hospital (Lakeside Hospital) was named one of Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare. Since its opening in 2009, the hospital has been recognized five times as one of the Top 100 healthcare employers in the country.

“We're thrilled to once again be listed on Modern Healthcare's “Best Places to Work” list,” said Diane Freeman, RN, Vice President of Clinical Operations, Lakeside Hospital. “Our employees are our most important asset and continue to be the single biggest factor in Lakeside Hospital's continued growth and success.”

Now in its ninth year, Modern Healthcare's Best Places to Work in Healthcare program is a national program managed by the Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work. The unranked list is compiled through an employer benefits and policies questionnaire and an employee engagement and satisfaction survey.

St. Luke's Health was the only organization in Montgomery County to receive this honor, and one of 12 healthcare employers in Texas to earn a place on the list.

“This award is a tremendous honor as we strive to foster a culture where employees feel motivated, valued and committed to delivering the highest quality patient care. Lakeside is truly an embodiment of this, as we continue to raise the mark for performance excellence,” said David Argueta, FACHE, President of St. Luke's Health–The Woodlands, Lakeside and Springwoods Village Hospitals. “As we look to the future of healthcare in North Houston, we as a campus that includes Lakeside, The Woodlands, and Springwoods Villages Hospitals, are greatly equipped to serve the community now and for years to come.”

Lakeside Hospital will be profiled in a special Modern Healthcare issue in October. In addition, the publication also will host an awards dinner on October 6, where the ranked order of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2016 will be revealed.
