St. Luke's Health Named Inaugural Recipients of Two Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council Awards

St. Luke's Health (St. Luke’s) announced today that it has received two Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC) Awards for:

  • Stroke Care (Hospital with less than 250 beds) — St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands Hospital
  • Freestanding ED Partner of the Year Award — PhysiciansER Montgomery Emergency Room
    (now St. Luke’s Health–Baylor St. Luke’s Emergency Center)

More than 600 first responders, healthcare providers, and government leaders recently gathered to recognize outstanding healthcare services in the region at the SETRAC Awards Banquet.

SETRAC is a coalition of hospitals, air medical providers, fire departments and emergency medical services in the Southeast Texas region who provide stakeholder support for preparedness, trauma, injury prevention, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric services.

“To be recognized for such an achievement for stroke is a testament to our mission of providing patient-centered care,” said David G. Argueta, President, St. Luke’s Health–The Woodlands, Lakeside, and Springwoods Village Hospitals. “Our success rests on the shoulders of a medical and clinical staff that works tirelessly to meet the rigorous standards in stroke response and recovery. I’m especially proud of not just the award, but what it represents for our community, and that is exceptional stroke care when moments count.”
