Ellen Pitcher Joins St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands, Lakeside, and Springwoods Village Hospitals as Chief Nursing Officer

THE WOODLANDS, TX (August 19, 2019)CHI Texas Division announced today that Ellen Pitcher, RN, MSN, MBA, FACHE joined St. Luke’s Health – The Woodlands, Lakeside, and Springwoods Village Hospitals as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services.

Prior to joining St. Luke’s Health, Ellen was with Pitts Management Associates, a healthcare consulting and executive staffing firm. She also served as Interim Chief Nursing and Chief Operating Officer at El Paso Children’s Hospital, where she designed and implemented an efficient organizational structure and quality patient safety programs turning around the 122-bed, not-for-profit hospital as it emerged from bankruptcy. Ellen also served as Chief Nursing Officer for 11 years at Baylor, Scott and White Health making significant improvements to patient satisfaction, productivity and staff retention rates.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University, a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University.
