Longtime Lufkin Doctor Joins St. Luke’s Health Memorial Clinics

St. Luke’s Health Memorial Clinics, a division of St. Luke’s Health Memorial, welcomes Clarence Doyle Haynes, M.D. to the Lufkin Care Team. Dr. Haynes, a Board Certified Emergency physician, providing family medicine services to the patients of Lufkin and Angelina County specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases in patients 15 years and older.

Dr. Haynes spent 34 years as an Emergency Medicine physician working in hospitals across the state of Texas before he settled in Lufkin more than 15 years ago.

Prior to opening his Family Medicine practice in July 2010, Dr. Haynes served as the Medical Director of the St. Luke’s Health Memorial Lufkin Emergency Department for ten years. He also served as the Medical Director for the hospital’s SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program.

Dr. Haynes attended the University of Texas at Austin for three years before receiving an early acceptance to the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. He did his Family Medicine residency through the University of Texas at Houston and then transitioned into the field of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Haynes spent the next three and a half decades working in emergency rooms, including Tyler, Austin, Nacogdoches, Longview, Lufkin and numerous other rural Texas hospitals. While practicing as an Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Haynes earned three consecutive board certifications in Emergency Medicine.
