Memorial Medical Center-Livingston Welcomes New Internal Medicine Physician

Memorial Medical Center-Livingston welcomes Laxman Kalvakuntla, M.D. to the ever growing medical staff in Polk County. Dr. Kalvakuntla, Internist, specializes in treating adult and geriatric patients.

Dr. Kalvakuntla comes to Livingston from Nacogdoches in which he owned his private practice for nearly 20 years. Dr. Kalvakuntla is currently the medical director at Lexington nursing home in Nacogdoches.  He is also the co-medical director at Life Care Hospice in Nacogdoches.

“There is always a need for highly qualified internal medicine physicians, and we’re thrilled Dr. Kalvakuntla is coming a little farther south to join us in Livingston,” Memorial Medical Center-Livingston Administrator David LeMonte said. “He has a broad range of experience, and he will join a group of very talented physicians in the Multispecialty Associates building on our hospital campus.”

Dr. Kalvakuntla completed his one year post-doctoral research fellowship in infectious diseases at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He completed his internship and residency at Hurley Medical Center at Michigan State University in Flint, MI, attended medical school at Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, India, and completed his internship at M.G.M. Hospital, also in Warangal.

Dr. Kalvakuntla is now seeing patients at his office at the Memorial Multi-Specialty Center located at 403 Ogletree Drive, Suite 200 in Livingston. Patients can schedule an appointment by calling 936-327-7799. His office hours are Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to noon.

His office accepts most major insurance, Medicare and Medicaid.
