Memorial Welcomes New CFO

Memorial Health System of East Texas has named Ken Miller as its System Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  Mr. Miller comes to Lufkin with more than 13 years of financial healthcare experience.

Mr. Miller has an extensive background as a CFO in a number of community hospitals. Most recently, he was the Division CFO with RegionalCare Hospital Partners improving financial operations in five facilities in several different states. Prior to that, he also served as CFO of Paris Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas, a 364-bed facility. He headed up the Business Office, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Medical Records, Materials Management and Case Management. He also served as CFO for The Medical Center of Mesquite in Mesquite, Texas, and the Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet, North Carolina through Health Management Associates.

Mr. Miller graduated from the University of Houston at Clear Lake with an MHA/MBA, the University of Texas at Tyler with a Bachelor of Business degree with an emphasis in management and New Mexico State University with an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.

In his new role as Memorial’s CFO, Mr. Miller will be responsible for the daily financial operations of the health care system, which includes management information systems, financial services, materials management, business office, admissions, centralized scheduling, risk management, and reimbursement reporting.
