Michael H. Covert Elected to Statewide Hospital Association Board

Houston, TX (February 12, 2016) – St. Luke’s Health (St. Luke’s) announced today that its Chief Executive Officer, Michael H. Covert, has been elected to the Texas Hospital Association (THA) Board of Trustees. Covert took office January 1 and will serve a two-year term.

Founded in 1930, THA is the leadership organization and principal advocate for all of Texas’ hospitals and healthcare systems. As one of the largest, most respected healthcare associations in the country, THA enhances its members’ abilities to improve accessibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of healthcare for all Texans. The organization represents more than 430 hospitals and health systems, which employee some 365,000 healthcare professionals statewide.
