Pipeline Workers Struck by Lightning Recognize Local Hospital for Superior Care

Memorial Medical Center—San Augustine is being recognized by Encana Oil & Gas for providing “the highest caliber of health care” to several contractors who suffered effects from a lightning strike near a pipeline where they were working.  The contractors from Unix and Falcon Welding were working on an Encana owned pipeline when the pipeline was struck by lightning during a storm in June.  There were several men working near where the lightning struck and were taken to Memorial Medical Center – San Augustine.

Members from Encana including Bud Womack, Contract Construction Supervisor; Jason Carrier, Safety Coordinator; Amit Sharma, Team Lead; and Mike Morrow, Production Coordinator recently made a special trip to Memorial to say thank you on behalf of the men who were treated at Memorial Medical Center—San Augustine.  Among the Memorial employees recognized were Monica Roberts, CRTT; Darlene Williams, Administrator Memorial Medical Center – San Augustine; Hope Harrison, LVN; Barbara Hall, RN; and Christina Miller, RN.
