Sodexo Goes Orange!

Posted in:

Sodexo, one of the largest food services and facilities management companies in the world, and food services provider at Memorial Medical Center-Lufkin brought awareness to childhood hunger Tuesday by “going orange.”

Food service workers wore bright orange t-shirts in support of the No Kid Hungry effort which ensures that every child in the United States grows up with dependable access to enough nutritious food for them to lead a healthy, productive life.

The Sodexo campaign helps start or improve school breakfast programs, recruit and expand summer meals sites and teaches families how to shop for and cook healthy meals on a limited budget. Since 2011, No Kid Hungry efforts have helped bring more than 34 million additional meals to kids who need them.
