Alma Aguilar, PharmD
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Hematology and Oncology
 

Alma received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Southern University in 2022. She then completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. Thereafter, she completed a PGY2 in oncology at Harris Health System. After her postgraduate training, Alma began her career at St. Luke’s Baylor Medical Center as clinical pharmacy specialist in Hematology/Oncology. She is a member of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) and ASHP.

 

Amanda Gee, PharmD
Clinical Pharmacist l- Internal Medicine
 

Amanda received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2021 from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Ascension Seton in Austin, TX. She now works at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center as a Clinical Pharmacist I. Her practice interests include anticoagulation, cirrhosis, and pharmacokinetics.

Andrei received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2018 from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He completed his PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and the two-year Infectious Diseases Fellowship with St. Luke’s Baylor Medical Center and University of Houston College of Pharmacy. After completing the ID fellowship, Andrei stayed within the St Luke's Texas Division at St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital. He then returned to St. Luke's Baylor Medical Center and currently serves as a Clinical Pharmacist II in infectious diseases. Andrei is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. His practice interests include antimicrobial stewardship and treatment of multidrug-resistant gram-negative infections.

 

Carolyn Schardt, PharmD, BCPS
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Heart Transplant, LVAD, and Mechanical Circulatory Support

Carolyn received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Luke's Baylor Medical Center and stayed on to complete a PGY2 in Solid Organ Transplant. Upon completion of her residencies, Carolyn started her career as a clinical pharmacy specialist in internal medicine at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital for two years. She then returned to BSLMC as a clinical pharmacist II in heart transplant, LVAD, and mechanical circulatory support. Carolyn is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.

Coty received her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University in New Orleans, LA and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Chicago State University in Chicago, IL. Thereafter, she completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS and completed a PGY2 in Solid Organ Transplant at Methodist-Le Bonheur University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Coty began her career at St. Luke’s Baylor Medical Center as a Clinical Pharmacist II in Kidney Transplant. She is a member of ASHP, ACCP, and American Society of Transplant.

 

Mary Sun, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP

Mary received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She began her journey at Baylor St. Luke's while as a student, completing multiple APPE rotations there. She then went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at BSLMC. After residency, she stayed on as a Clinical Pharmacist I in internal medicine and surgical ICU. Her practice interests include multimodal pain regimens, AKI management/renal dosing, and transitions of care/medication reconciliation optimization.

 

Punit Hinsu, PharmD, MBA, MPH

Punit completed his training and began his career as a pharmacist in the Greater Philadelphia area. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2009 from Temple University and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Managerial Finance from La Salle University in 2011. He furthered his training in a Clinical Research and Drug Development Fellowship program with Fresenius Medical Care (Waltham, MA) and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Boston, MA). In 2013, he moved back to Philadelphia and received his Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University in 2015. Later that year, he moved to Texas and joined the St. Luke’s Baylor Medical Center. He has since served as the Investigational Drugs pharmacist in charge of coordinating and overseeing clinical research protocol implementation and all Investigational Drugs activities. His practice interests include activities related to investigational drug services, including oncology research studies, gene therapy trials and specialty/personalized/precision medicine.

 

Ramya Castillo, PharmD, BCCP
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist- Cardiology & Hemostasis/Thrombosis
 

Ramya earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Northeastern University College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA. She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with Memorial Hermann in Houston, TX and her PGY2 in Cardiology at UNC Health Rex in Raleigh, NC. Her practice interests include cardiac critical care, cardiac devices, anticoagulation management, and advanced heart failure therapies. She is now the CVICU and Hemostasis/Thrombosis Clinical Pharmacist ll at BSLMC.

 

Rebecca Kessinger, PharmD, BCCCP
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Critical Care

Rebecca received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Houston College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center after which she spent three years as a Critical Care/Antimicrobial Stewardship pharmacist at Houston Methodist Clear Lake. She rejoined Baylor St. Luke's to serve as a clinical pharmacy specialist in the medical ICU. Her practice interests include management of shock and decompensated liver cirrhosis. In her free time she enjoys traveling, eating, and spending time with her daughter and husband.

 

Russell Clark, PharmD, BCOP
Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Hematology and Oncology

Russell received his Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College in 2015, and Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas A&M University HSC-IRLCOP in 2019. He completed PGY1 from Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC), and went on to The University of Kansas Health Systems in Kansas City, KC for a PGY2 in Oncology. After residency, Russell began his practice at MD Anderson as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Lymphoma/Myeloma/CAR-T department, where he earned his BCOP. Russell joined BSLMC in 2023 as the inpatient Hematology/Oncology clinical specialist. His clinical interests include chemotherapy/chemoimmunotherapy toxicity monitoring, quality improvement measures for inpatient chemotherapy administration optimizations, and supportive care optimization.
