Educational Affiliation Agreements

(does not apply to Nursing Education)

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC) requires an active educational affiliation agreement (EAA) for all rotations. An EAA is a legal agreement between BSLMC and an external academic institution for purposes of providing a formal learning experience. These opportunities are generally in a supervisory situation such as a clinical experience under the direct supervision of a provider or technical leader within Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.

In partnership with affiliate academic institutions, Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC), Department of Educational Services approves clinical/technical rotations for:

  • Allied Health Professionals (such as Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners)
  • Medical Students
  • Fellows
  • Residents
  • Technical Medical Students (such as radiology or pathology technicians)

Rotation requests for students pursing Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree must be submitted via the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program.
