Skin-to-skin

We honor the Golden Hour and place baby skin-to-skin immediately following birth until completion of the first feeding. Our team of registered nurses at the Family Birthing Center are trained to be your first line of help with breastfeeding. At times, complex breastfeeding issues may arise and our Lactation Consultants are available 5 days a week to assist you.

  • Hospital Gift Shop. For more information call 832-534-5106.
  • Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday 11:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m
